Meet S'More Campfire - one of the adorable "Campfire" litter who are Australian Cattle Dog/Heeler mix pups who were an owner surrendered litter in Georgia. As of 5/21/25 these pups are almost 12 weeks old she weighs 10 pounds. We think they will be medium to the smaller side of large when full grown.
Her new northern foster mom shares "This gal is so sweet and cuddly. But she also loves to play when the mood strikes her. She happily plays alone, but will also engage with my great dog, Lily, who is a lab mix and about 4 times her size. She’s been awesome in the crate and working on her potty training. She happily does her business outside, she just doesn’t know how to ask to go out yet. My dog is bell trained and she is starting to associate that, so bell training may be a good option for her. She met my 18 month old niece and they happily ran around together. She even let my niece hug her and love on her. I’m getting the sense that she’s a very gentle soul."
S'More has been to multiple events this week where she happily let tons of people hug her and love her. She was always calm and loving - no matter the human or the dog nearby.
We just know she will make your life SWEET!
All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.
Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
