This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.

Loki came to our rescue as a 10 week old baby. He and his 5 littermates were dumped in the country and he has been patiently awaiting his forever family. He is now 5 1/2 months old and 42 pounds of pure love and one of the last two from the litter.

Loki is a young man with an abundance of amazing qualities. First of all he is so sweet and gentle. This boy never meets a stranger. He greets everyone, both human and canine, with open arms. Loki is learning to be part of a family and is very respectful of his human and doggy pack members.

He is also crate trained and sleeps through the night, he is a champ walking on a leash and would make an amazing adventure partner-going on hikes or running errands around town. He loves car rides and would be delighted to swing through the drive-thru for a pup cup.

Loki loves to cool off in the puppy pool and splash around like a fish. He is a goofy happy boy.

This young man could slide into just about any family dynamic. He is not a barker just a lover. He will not disappoint his new family once a lucky family adopts him. He is so chill but is always up for playtime. He can safely be considered “bullet proof”.

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
