Meet Arlo – Part-Time Goofball, Full-Time Toy Enthusiast!
At just 2 years old, Arlo is a bouncy lab mix with a heart full of squeaky toys and dreams of playtime glory.
He’s the king of solo toy parties, but also loves romping with the right doggie pals (no haters, please).
Leash walks? We’re working on the whole “no lunging at potential besties” thing.
He’s looking for a chill neighborhood with few surprise doggy encounters.
Arlo’s got opinions and a delightfully loud play style – he’s all about fun, not finesse.
No dog parks for now, but a well-matched dog friend? Totally on the table.
He might be into cats… or not. He’s never met one, but he’s open-minded.
Kid-friendly with the right support – he just needs a little structure and a lot of squeaky toys.
If you’re toy-positive, dog-smart, and ready for big laughs and learning, Arlo’s your guy.

Stop by Northeast Animal Shelter to meet Arlo. We have open adoption hours Mon- Wed 11:30am-5pm, Thu-Sun 11:30am-6pm - no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available pets.
Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
