Meet Dean Tollie - a 2 year old, 49 pound, Shepherd/Lab mix pup born to Tollie Momma in Mississippi. He was of four in this litter and sadly has been in rescue for well OVER A YEAR - and there is nothing that breaks our heart more than precious puppies growing up in rescue. Where are the forever families for these precious pups? Two pups and mom are still waiting for homes. We think they just keep getting passed over for cute tiny pups - but we promise you these young dogs you don't have to take outside every 2 hours really are the sweet spot of puppy cuteness but on the way to adulthood in training.
Meet Dean, a young, sweet soul with a heart full of joy. His playful and goofy personality is infectious, lighting up the room with his energy. He's smart too, mastering new tricks quickly, and always eager to learn more. Despite his youthful energy, Dean is incredibly gentle. He's the kind of dog that will chase a ball tirelessly in the park, then curl up beside you for a quiet evening. He's friendly to everyone he meets, winning hearts with his charming demeanor. He does so well with all the other dogs here, loves meeting all people, and has spent time around kids and does well very well with them. The pups have been around cats in rescue and done fine, but they do tend to chase tiny creatures outdoors so we don't suggest any little critters in your home with these pups. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will bring laughter, love, and a touch of silliness to your life, Dean is the perfect fit. His boundless love and companionship are waiting for a forever home.
All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
