Meet Rocky
Meet Rocky! He’s a spirited little guy who’s always on the lookout for a new adventure. Rocky struggles to contain his excitement, and is looking for an adopter who’s committed to continuing his training to help him learn his manners and walk politely on a leash. His favorite activities include sniffy walks, romping with toys, and lots of pets from his human friends! Rocky has shown some discomfort around young children, so he would do best in a home with adults or older kids who can participate in his training and feel comfortable around a rowdy dog. He enjoys bouncy, pushy play with other dogs, so any canine friends or potential roommates should be tolerant of his rude approaches and roughhousing. We recommend any other dogs in the home meet Rocky at the shelter prior to adoption, to ensure it’s a good match.
If you think Rocky could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by Northeast Animal Shelter. We have open adoption hours 7 days a week from 11:30am-5pm – no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available pets.
Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
