Meet Bentley
Meet Bentley! This handsome pup thrives on activity and will do best with adopters who can provide him with plenty of physical and mental exercise each day. He’ll need regular opportunities to run, play, and train to help him channel that energy into calm, polite behaviors at home. Bentley is still learning about house manners and appropriate bathroom habits—his previous homes reported frequent accidents despite routine potty breaks—so patient adopters who are ready to continue his training will be essential to his success.
Bentley has shown that being left alone can make him anxious, and he may whine, bark, paw at the door, or even try to escape when feeling stressed. He’s also been reactive to sights and sounds, sometimes barking at people, dogs, cars, or noises outside the home. With time, structure, and a positive training plan, Bentley can learn to feel more comfortable and confident in his environment. He’s looking for adopters who can provide him with consistency, patience, and plenty of exercise—plus the understanding that he’s still a work in progress with so much potential to shine.
Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
