Meet Eleanor Liberty - one of the either adorable Tennessee Hound/Lab mix pups in the LIBERTY litter. They were born on 4/4...they are 19 weeks old and Eleanor Liberty weighed 24 lbs. as of 7/24.
UPDATE: Eleanor is a super sweet, friendly, and athletic pup with a striking brindle coat and the cutest ears. She is timid at first but once she becomes comfortable, she loves to play. She enjoys playing and exploring outside, hanging out with other dogs, and spending quiet time in the house. Eleanor likes to chase a ball and then pounce on it.
When she met the neighbor's cat, Eleanor was curious but did not display any prey behavior.
Eleanor is a chill pup who will either go into her crate independently, cuddle up with her people or find a soft dog bed to take a nap. At night, she walks into her crate, quickly falls asleep and sleeps through the night. She is doing a great job walking on a leash both in a pack and independently in the neighborhood. Eleanor will be a great addition to any family!
The Liberty litter were an owner surrendered litter in Tennessee. They are all incredibly cute and very social. They have been with other dogs in rescue and enjoy their company. They haven't been around kids here yet - but of course with pups this young we don't expect their to be an problem with them loving absolutely everyone in your home. They are young pups who will need owners ready for love, consistency and training...just like any other pup needs.
Get ready to life, love and liberty!!
All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.
Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
