Meet Dexter
Dexter is a fun-loving pup who enjoys playtime and being with his favoritepeople. Hes always eager for a tasty treat and has a big heart to shareonce he feels at home. Dexter will thrive in a calm, predictableenvironment where he can take his time to settle in. Hes looking for anadopter who will understand his body language, respect his needs, andpractice petting consent so he can feel safe and comfortable. Dexter mightenjoy the company of a well-matched dog friend after a thoughtfulintroduction, but he would prefer not to live with cats. He has livedhappily with children before and could do so again with kids who can bepart of his training and care. Dexter does have some ongoing medical needs,which the staff will be happy to discuss with anyone ready to give him theloving home he deserves.

Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
