Meet Moose
My adoption fee will be waived from August 19-24 as part of the MUTT-CHKINS ADOPTION EVENT!!!
Black labs are known to be friendly, outgoing and intelligent. They are also energetic, playful and strong. And that describes our boy Moose. This very good boy is both house and crate trained. Moose is really outgoing and loves meeting new people. Typical lab, he is partial to squeaky tennis balls and playing in the yard. Moose has previously lived successfully with a cat and with young children. Just remember that this happy, bouncy boy could easily tip over a young toddler. Moose has had positive interactions with other dogs, although he has never lived with one. Now, Moose is looking for a patient adopter who is excited about training using positive reinforcement. Best boy Moose needs to work on his loose leash walking skills and greeting people politely. He has started working on these things here at the shelter. For a piece of cheese, he will show you his pretty sit. If you are a family looking for a big goofball of a dog, then Moose is the dog for you.
If you think Moose could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Nevins Farm Adoption Center in Methuen. We have open adoption hours Tuesday – Sunday from 12:00 pm – 4:30 pm with no appointment or application needed.
Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
