Meet Stella
My adoption fee will be waived from August 19-24 as part of the MUTT-CHKINS ADOPTION EVENT!!!
Oh, pretty Stella! This girl is a sweet, sensitive lady who is looking for a home of her own. Stella, besides being just beautiful, walks very nicely on a leash. She is house trained and crate trained. And she is really smart. She has quickly learned about clicker training, and knows sit, down and paw. Here is a hint to her future training: this girl loves cheese! Stella would do best with a family dedicated to using positive training methods to support her. Right now, this good girl can be uncomfortable with close handling. She is hoping her adopters will give her time and space to decompress. And then, watch her body language and help her out if she is in an uncomfortable situation. Once she knows you, she can be very cuddly and silly. Stella seems to have a rather conflicted opinion about other dogs, so dog interactions may need to be managed. She could also possibly live with a dog savvy cat. Or live with children who can practice petting consent.
If you think Stella could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Nevins Farm Adoption Center in Methuen. We have open adoption hours Tuesday – Sunday from 12:00 pm – 4:30 pm with no appointment or application needed.
Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
