This 6-month-old terrier mix was recently transferred from SF Animal Care and Control and is ready to blossom in a calm, loving home. Fern is a gentle soul—shy at first, and still getting used to the leash and all the sights and sounds of the big world. She’s environmentally sensitive and takes her time to feel safe, but with patience (and a cozy lap), she begins to shine.
Once she warms up, Fern melts into affection and loves nothing more than curling up with her person. She’s building confidence every day and would thrive with someone who understands that growth takes time—and that small victories (like a tail wag or a curious sniff outside) are worth celebrating.
