Meet Travis, a playful little hound who will always keep you on your toes! This brave man had a pretty rough start – he spent the first 4 years of his life in a crate, with minimal human contact. As a result, he consistently shies away from human touch, and is looking for a very special adopter who will not push his boundaries. Travis may never want pets, and that’s okay! He will still romp around the yard with his human friends, and loves to give you the third degree (AKA, sniff your entire body). Once comfortable in a space, his mischievous hound side starts to show, so he’ll need continued training to learn manners in a home – nobody ever taught him the rules! Travis opens up more quickly with dog friends to play with, but can be pushy, and struggles to understand corrections. For this reason, he’ll require some management in a home with another dog, and we recommend they meet at the shelter before adoption.
