Meet Sandy - and absolutely gorgeous Border Collie gal from North Carolina. As of posting Sandy is 40 pounds and almost 5 years old (her birthday is in November).

Sandy has been a loved dog for years, but unfortunately her owner is very sick and can no longer care for her. So we promised her we would find Sandy a new family that loves her just as much as she does!

Sandy is sweet with people and loves to cuddle if you let her (who would let this girl cuddle with them?). She hasn't had kid experience as far as we know but seems to like everyone she meets. She is great with other dogs and has lived with a cat in her original home. She doesn’t mind a crate at all and does well in one . She can be regular normal energy but she’s ready to turn on her border collie if you want her to, or if she deems necessary. lol. She loves leash walks and would be a great hiking, running or adventure partner. She absolutely loves car rides too. She is fully housebroken as well. And STUNNING - but we don't need to tell you that.

This gal is going to make her new family incredibly lucky!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

To adopt or learn more about Sandy, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $495] **

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.

Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
