This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.

Meet Milo Magic - an 8 month old Border Collie/Jack Russell Terrier mix boy who was an owner surrendered dog in Tennessee. At the time of posting on 9/19 he weighs on 16 pounds (most of which we think are those magnificent ears). HA! So we really don't expect him to get over 25 pounds max. He is smaller than these pictures probably make him look.

Milo is a a very petite, agile, spectacularly cute dog. He looks a bit like a miniature Border Collie. He’s the perfect pint size pet.

His foster has been taking him to dog activities in the city to teach him about fun outings. He is good at riding in the car and enjoys getting pup cups. And he is learning all his leash skills and doing well with sit. He has had only a few accidents so we think finishing up housebreaking will be a quick and easy process.

Milo Magic is people centered and likes to be with his person. He can be a little shy around men - but he warms up to them once he feels safe. He is good with cats and other dogs.

He is a great combination of playful and energetic when it is appropriate, but then calm and laid back when it is time to rest or head to bed.

He’s a great little dog and we are excited to find him a home that will love him forever and get to experience all the magic he will bring into their lives!!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
