This much FUN should be illegal!

Meet Handsome Jack Fun and his siblings - a group of 5 month old, Lab mix puppies, who weighed 41 pounds (as of 9/25/25). The FUN pups were found as strays in Mississippi and ready to find their forever families!

“Jack absolutely loves to play outside and be with other dogs. He is a pretty active boy and very smart. He is a bit nervous in new situations and around people he has not met, but just takes a little time to warm up.
He takes a lot of queues from our dog, and shows a lot more bravery with a dog friend to show him the ropes. Once he is comfortable, his true playful personality comes out. He would do great with a dog sibling to help him continue to grow his confidence.

He does great with kids of all ages and was very gentle and mellow at the recent Subaru event. While a bit nervous, he accepted pats and was very well behaved.

While not fully house trained he has had minimal accidents and goes right away when let outside.

He is showing great progress learning new tricks as well, from sit, down, paw, etc. He is very smart as he will already be waiting for his treat in a sit when we come in as he knows that I will ask for it! We are working on his crate training and leash manners. He does great in the car too.

He loves stuffy toys and playing chase with our dog. He loves to snuggle and be with his people. He’s happy to cozy up next to you on the couch, play fetch or just chill.”

- He likes to play with other dogs. He is pretty submissive to others and does well with intros, and then likes to run around / chase.

- No crying in the crate, he definitely sees it as a safe space and really enjoys it in there.

- Loud noises scare him and he isn’t quite brave enough to explore the house much. But I am sure with some time we will start to see him become more brave! We just picked him up yesterday. He has already made some good progress here!

These pups are adorable fun loving, playful, sweet and absolutely adorable. They have grown up in foster care and are very well socialized (aka a little bit spoiled). They greet everyone they meet with puppy kisses and the cutest little hops to say "hello". These fur babies can't wait to meet their new families and show off just how amazing they are! They all get along great with other dogs and will do great in a home with a resident fur sibling to learn from (but not necessary). They are wonderful with children and will be the best friends to kids and will be sure to give them all the love in the world!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.

Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
