Millie is a little princess who is great with kids, adults and even large crowds. She loves attention and can get very jealous if she sees other dogs getting more lap time than her, and will let you know it when she sees it's a pattern. She has a big personality in a small body and while she might be vocal about her desires, she doesn't really challenge any other dog or person when it comes down to it. She may squirm when getting her nails and hair done, but she is a beautiful specimen with lots of confidence when she's cleaned up. She's also happy to sleep at one's feet or even on the floor, as long as she sees you and you acknowledge her presence.She loves walks and car trips, so she basically walks right into her harness when it's presented to her. She loves hanging out at the pool and enjoying treats. She will require some periodic grooming to avoid getting matted, which she was when she first got to the shelter. Some patience with her feet getting groomed will be required, as she is not a fan of them being worked on.She's very agile and is happy to jump up and down on furniture, as well as laps. She is also known to steal food, especially if it's what humans are eating, but fortunately her small size keeps her from reaching too many plates.She's an alarm system, but she is also not one to go out of her way to bark at just any sound. She's mostly just trying to protect the premises and wants to say hi. She's completely fine meeting people for the first time and she isn't shy.
