This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.

Meet Jill -a 7 month old, Siberian Husky mix, who weighs about 18 pounds (as of 10/14/25). Jill was found as a stray in Puerto Rico with her brother, Jack. We found them inside an abandoned school, and they were so relieved when they realized they were being rescue. After entering our care, they quickly went to a foster home where they received lots of love, went for walks, visited the dog park, and received regular meals (and treats)! They are happy, healthy and ready to find their forever families.

Beyond being gorgeous and adorable, Jill has an amazing personality and is eager to receive the love she never received before. Jack and Jill greet everyone they see with a smile and wagging tail, and make friends everywhere they go.

Jack and Jill are sweet, playful, sociable and absolutely adorable. Since they are young, they love to play, play and play. They love to receive love, cuddles and belly rubs. Jill will be great for a home with a family that has time to walk her, and time to train her (which will be very easy because she is super smart and very obedient). It is time for Jill to find a family willing to love him and take care of them!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
