Meet Hunter Loyal - a 5 month old, Lab mix, who weighs 38 pounds (as of 10/9/25). The LOYAL pups were found as strays in Tennessee and they're little rays of sunshine who are looking for their forever family!
His foster shares: Hunter is a sweet, playful, and curious puppy who has settled beautifully into his foster home. He loves playing with the resident dog and is respectful of his older canine friend’s boundaries. When he’s not romping around, Hunter happily entertains himself with his toys or snuggles up for some human affection.
This goofy guy is also a bit of a comedian. He is often making his foster family laugh with his silly antics and expressive puppy personality.
Hunter is doing great with house training- no accidents! He sleeps through the night and takes naps quietly in his crate.
Energetic and fun to train, he’s highly motivated by both treats and praise. He’s working on leash manners and basic obedience, so his future family should be ready to continue his training with patience and consistency.
With his smarts, charm, and sense of humor, Hunter is sure to bring plenty of joy and laughter to his forever home.
All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.
Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
