Everyone loves Lucy!

Meet Lucy Love - a 5 year old, Bulldog mix, who is about 70 pounds of LOVE (as of 10/23/25)! This lovebug was unfortunately surrendered to us by her previous family who are dealing with a housing change where they can no longer keep her.

Lucy Love is the sweetest girl who enjoys car rides, snuggling with her humans, sunbathing, playing tug of war.... there really isn't much this girl doesn't like - other than cats!

Lucy Love is a wonderful family dog as she absolutely loves kids and is so sweet with them! She previously lived with a newborn and a 5 year old. She is housebroken and crate trained and enjoys snoozing in her crate.

She is fine with other dogs and has been at doggy daycare without any issues.

She also knows basic commands. She could use some leash manners, she tends to pull when she first starts out, but does settle down after a bit.

Her former mom said "We say in a past life my son was a cowboy and she was his horse. They’re inseparable." She’s also been very gentle with her surrendering mom's 2 month old and does respect boundaries. She can be a little excitable/gets the zoomies when playing so we just give her a toy to play tug with while the kids are running around.
She’s a super lovable dog, her favorites are car rides, laying in the sun, and snuggling.

She has big heart with lots of love to give. She can't wait to meet her new family and start her next chapter!

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
