Meet the AURORA litter, named after everyone's favorite Roman Gods & Goddesses! Their mama, Mama Aurora, is named after the Roman Goddess of Dawn. Aurora is a petite 30 pounds fully grown and we included a photo so you can see how gorgeous their mama is.
This litter is six weeks old (as of 10/29/25), and they are Lab / Tennessee Treeing Brindle mixes. These babies are happy, playful and well-socialized. Puppyhood is serious business: they play hard and rest hard. In foster care, they know early recall with a generic “puppy” song and each has been diligently working on doing their potty business in a specific place (currently a large litter pan with alfalfa pellets that mimic the scent of grass and the feel of terrain under their paws). These pups are smart and curious and like all puppies, they thrive on routine and consistency. These pups will do best in a home with a loving family who understand the work needed to raise a well- balanced puppy and who are committed to ongoing coaching. With structured positive reinforcement training, each puppy will be wonderful addition to the family!
One of the smaller girls of the bunch, Minerva Aurora is named after the Roman Goddess of wisdom. She is one smart cookie which is how she got her name! She was the first girl to climb out of the crate during their wobble-bobble stage. She likes to pass her awake time by watching her littermates’ actions and waiting to engage in them in play. She weighs 5.4 pounds as of 10/30/25.
All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.
Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
