Who could say no to that face? Meet Goober, an absolutely adorable 2-year-old Chihuahua mix. This lovable sweetie was transferred into our care from Fresno Animal Center and is learning about the cityscape here slowly but surely.
Unsure of people’s intentions, Goober can be a bit slow to warm up to new people but with some snacks and a snuggly lap to sit in, he will open up and become your perfect little lapdog, trusting you fully! He’s an absolute cuddlebug once he feels safe and we know he’s going to be someone’s perfect emotional support.
Goober has shown that other dogs are a bit scary for him, and he doesn’t always know how to respond. He’s looking for an adopter who will help him avoid scary things like other dogs and build up his confidence, so he understands that he needn’t be scared. He’s a smart boy, already picking up on cues, so all he needs is an adopter who can help him practice those positive behaviors!
