Meet Bailey - an 11 month old, Carolina Dog / Bulldog mix, who weighs about 50 pounds (as of 3/4/25). Bailey was a local stray who we pulled from a local pound to help her find her forever home. Bailey's ears are sure to turn heads and melt hearts!

Her foster shares: "Bailey has the cutest ears you've ever seen! She is a very happy and affectionate dog who thrives with human contact. She's the perfect snuggle buddy after a long day. She is crate trained and does well by herself for several hours in her crate. Bailey enjoys listening to music and some might consider her to be a "professional napper". She is great with other dogs and loves to play with other pups. She LOVES playing with toys. Bailey is also house trained and has never had an accident. She is also very food motivated which should make more training fairly easy. She currently knows "sit" but I'm sure would pick up on other commands quickly. She walks well on a leash with a harness. While we have known Bailey, she has not had the opportunity to meet cats or children, but she has been gentle with all people she meets! She will be a wonderful addition to any loving family who is looking to add a sweet girl to their lives!"

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.

Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
