Meet Elm
This beautiful brindle girl is Elm, a sensitive pup who’s looking for a dedicated adopter who will take things slow and help grow her confidence. Strangers and new spaces are scary for Elm, but she’s still interested – she’ll follow you around like a stealthy little shadow while she gets to know you, and will let you know when she’s getting more comfortable by approaching more readily, moving closer, or getting nose-to-nose with you for a nice informative sniff. Here at the shelter Elm enjoys playing with dog friends, though we’ve noticed she prefers introductions to be slow and low-stakes (think parallel walks before play). She prefers dogs with a polite and gentle play style, and we think a well-matched dog friend in the home could be helpful in showing her the ropes.
