Tootsie is a young adult Chihuahua mix with the sweetest little face and a gentle soul. New to the shelter, Tootsie is a bit shy at first, but with patience and kindness, his loving personality quickly shines through.
According to his previous family, Tootsie is a true lap dog who loves to lie right on you and soak up affection. He's playful in a low-key way and has a funny habit of peeling tennis balls and happily unstuffing plush toys-without being destructive. He doesn't chew furniture and prefers his toys and his people.
Tootsie is very food-motivated, which makes training a breeze. He already knows several commands, including sit, lay down, hand, high-five, leave it, go outside, and get down. He may need a reminder or two, but he's eager to please and clearly enjoys learning.
