Reuben is a gentle, sensitive soul who's still finding his footing in the shelter. He can be a little shy at first, especially in new situations, but he truly wants to connect - he just appreciates a little patience while he builds his confidence.
When given the chance to move at his own pace, Reuben warms up beautifully.
Reuben seems to do especially well with a calm, respectful canine friend. A mellow dog buddy could help him feel more secure and show him the ropes, while very forward or high-energy dogs might feel a bit overwhelming. He'd thrive with a steady companion who matches his gentle vibe.
