Hello! My name is Duffy and I'm a 2-year-old, neutered male, Akita that currently weighs about 90lbs. I'm a friendly guy that's looking for a family that understands the needs of big floofs like me. I'm an outgoing boy and will come right up to say hi, I may even jump for joy. If you've had Akitas before, even better! I would prefer to live in household with children that are at least 12 years old. If you have a resident dog, I would love to meet him or her before I officially join the family. If I get to choose, I prefer the ladies over male dogs. I love to play and can be affectionate once I'm comfortable. I will need a lot of brushing to make sure my luxurious coat remains gorgeous. You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Drop-In hours for Same Day Adoptions are 11 am – 5 pm, 7 days a week (closed major holidays). We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around!
