Meet Cookie
Cookie is currently in foster care – if you are interested in meeting Cookie please fill out this inquiry form and a member of our foster team will be in touch to coordinate a meet up!
Meet the adorable Cookie! Cookie is a slightly older lady that still has a lot of pep in her step! She’s known for her bouncy prance while taking walks, her round soulful eyes, loving human food, and wearing a fashionable jacket to keep her from shivering on chilly days. Cookie is sensitive and gentle girl that lived a sheltered life before coming to the adoption center where she didn’t spend lots of time with new people or go into busy environments. Naturally, the busy pace of living in a shelter environment has not been easy for a homebody like her! She’s spending time away from the hustle and bustle in a foster home while she waits for her perfect adopter to come in and ask about her! Don’t be discouraged that Cookie is in foster, she’s still waiting for a home that can suit her needs and can come to the shelter to meet potential matches. In Cookie’s dream home, she would live in a quieter neighborhood with a calm home enrivonment. Once she settles in, she’s a snuggle bug! So she wants to make sure her new family has plenty of space on the couch for her to snuggle in. Cookie is looking for a home with adults or older teens to respect her space and keep a calm environment. Cookie would prefer to be the only dog in the home, but could potentially live with a cat! This sweet snuggly lady is ready to find a family to call her own! Please call or come into the adoption center to ask about her if you also enjoy being a laid back introvert!
Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
