Despite his perpetually concerned appearance, we can assure you that charming chihuahua Zagros really is having fun at Muttville. His only concern at the moment is finding a forever family to delight throughout his golden years, and we think he’s maybe a little nervous about making a good impression. Zagros is really sweet, albeit a little shy, so if you do have the opportunity to meet him, we’d love it if you told him he’s a good boy who is coming across as amazing. Maybe, if you try really hard, you can even put a smile on this little guy’s face. Among a sea of chihuahuas, Zagros is one of a kind, so he’s hoping for a family that appreciates his uniqueness. Everything about this charming little chihuahua is endearing — from his serious frosted face and soulful eyes to his gentle, calm demeanor, and a silly, playful side that defies his 11 years. A perfect day for Zagros would include his favorite activities: couch cuddling, relaxing outside in the sun, and getting plenty of belly and underarm rubs from his favorite person.Zagros has been a wonderful low-maintenance houseguest. He is affectionate, but independent — he likes being nearby, but doesn’t need to be attached to you like glue. He was easy to introduce into a home with two polite large dogs and a taller male partner. And he has been able to do walks in the neighborhood and on trails (walking as much as 3 miles on a leisurely hike). Zagros can do some stairs, but would prefer to be picked up for more than a few steps up. He also needs a ramp (or to be picked up) to get onto couches and beds.
