Hey there, I'm Rex! I'm a 7 month old, neutered male Spaniel/Beagle mix that currently weighs 26 lbs., but since I'm still growing, I could be 35-45 lbs. as an adult. I'm an energetic and super playful pup that needs to start from scratch. I would love to go home with a family that has had puppies before and is familiar with helping them everything, from potty training to walking on leash. I'm so super smart and ready to learn and I can't wait to learn with you. I would love to meet you, so please bring the whole family, including resident dogs. I recently went on a hike with a PHS Volunteer! Here's how I did:
I took Rex on the hike today. He was a wiggle worm when trying to get him leashed but Rex rode beautifully in the car - he calmly sat in the backseat the entire time. During the hike, he did really well with dogs, people and bikes. He has a lot of young puppy energy and needs to work on his leash manners and impulse control, but overall easy to handle given his size. Rex had a blast on the beach and enjoyed time in the water soaking up the sun.Unless otherwise indicated, adoptable animals are located at our Lantos Center for Compassion at 1450 Rollins Road, Burlingame, CA 94010.
You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Drop-In hours for Same Day Adoptions are 11 am – 5 pm, 7 days a week (closed major holidays). We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around!
