Meet Landon + Kendra - a bonded pair of Maltese pups who were recently rescued from a tragic hoarding situation. Landon (M) is 3 years old and weighs 10 pounds and Kendra (F) is 1 year old and weighs 9 pounds (as of 3/27/25).

Their foster shares: "Landon and Kendra are adorable, lil nuggets of joy! It's impossible not to smile when looking at these two fluff balls. These two grew up together and are inseparable. These two did not have an easy beginning as they did not receive the love, care and comfort they deserve. They have been in
foster care for two months and they have simply blossomed into the sweetest most loving dogs. Landon is more confident! Kendra looks to Landon for comfort and security. Landon likes knowing where Kendra is so he can take care of her. At a total of 20 lbs between the two pups, they are perfect for your lap or to
snuggle on the couch with. They are a little shy at first, however as soon as they are comfortable with you, they want ALL of your attention! They've been around kids 8YO+ and done well. They also do great with other pups. Landon is always outgoing and friendly and he makes sure Kendra is comfortable and cared for. Kendra looks at Landon and follows what he does. These two are the perfect addition to a loving home who has room in their heart for TWO!"

Kendra is shy, sweet, lovable and cuddly…. Loves toys, she will fill her bed up with all the toys and play for hours. Landon and Kendra are very loving and protective of each other. They both sleep through the night with no problem.
Big appetite.. not picky. Needs encouragement with house training.

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
