Hi there, I'm Bellamy! I'm a 3 year old, 65lbs., neutered male Pitbull mix. You might have noticed I'm named after a One Piece character, I may be a big confident boy just like that Bellamy but unlike that character I don't have a mean bone in my body! Overall, I'm an outgoing boy that enjoys the company of people and dogs alike. I love going out and about see the world and catching up on all of the sniff news. Due to my rambunctious nature I would do best in a home with a family that are 8+. I know a few tricks so far like "sit" but can't wait to learn even more.

I recently went on a field trip with a PHS volunteer! Here's how I did:
I took Bellamy on a brief offsite today. We walked on the Bay Trail for about an hour. He was so happy when he saw he was going to get into a car…he jumped right in and was a good passenger, despite all of the drool, panting and heavy breathing. ;-) He did great on the trail too. Pulled a bit at first but settled down well. He’s very interested in other dogs, but doesn’t lunge at them when you hold him back. He wasn’t bothered by bikes or birds. He was happy to jump up on the seawall or the large wood block seating on the trail. He was pretty tuckered when we got back, but a good time was had by all.
Since I’m not at the adoption center, you can make arrangements to meet me by following these instructions:
Please submit your fully completed Adoption Profile Form to behavior@phs-spca.org and a staff member will call you to conduct a phone interview before making an appointment to meet me in person. You must be 18 or older to submit a profile. When you email your adoption profile, please include a few sentences about why you're interested in adopting me specifically and why you think I'd be a good fit for your family! Please also tell us a little bit about your dog experience, if any. We look forward to hearing from you!

You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Drop-In hours for Same Day Adoptions are 11 am – 5 pm, 7 days a week (closed major holidays). We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around!
To check on an animal's adoption status, please call 650-340-7022 during normal business hours to speak with an adoption counselor. Emails will be returned as soon as possible, but please allow up to 48 hours during busy adoption periods like weekends.
