Hello! My name is Rupert! I'm a neutered, 10-year-old, wire-hair fox terrier mix that weighs about 10lbs. I'm a free-thinking and independent older gentleman who is a bit of a maverick. I enjoy leisurely strolls and trotting about the yard taking in all the scents my sniffer can sniff. When I've finished my rounds, I love to find a nice, warm lap or blanket to curl up in. I can be overwhelmed if I'm rushed, so I'm hoping for a patient and loving family that is prepared to let me settle into my new home at my own pace. I also prefer to be the star of the show, so I'd like to be an only child unless it's a perfect match. No offense to any resident dogs, cats, or other pets- I promise I'm all the pup you need! You may call us at 650-340-7022 to schedule an appointment, or just drop by. Drop-In hours for Same Day Adoptions are 11 am – 5 pm, 7 days a week (closed major holidays). We do our best to update our listings regularly, but we can’t guarantee every animal you see is still available. It’s also typical for us to have animals who haven’t had their photos taken yet, so you are welcome to visit our adoption center and have a look around!
