Say hello to Cedar. He is a sweet but shy boxer who is worried about all
the recent changes in his life. This dog came to us from an overwhelmed
and overcrowded kennel environment. We do not have any information about
his behavioral history previously, yet we do know that most of the dogs
were found to be thin, living in unsanitary conditions without regular
access to clean bedding, food, and water. It is likely that he spent most
or all of his time in his kennel without much opportunity for learning
about normal dog things like meeting new people or dogs, living in a
home, etc. Transitions will likely be difficult for Cedar. Hell need an
adopter willing to give extra time and patience as this good boy adjusts to
his new world. And he will need help learning all dog things like house
training, walking on a leash or playing with toys. Cedar could possibly
live with a cat using a slow introduction. And children that can respect a
worried dog would probably work. He really, really does not want to live
with another dog.
