Meet Heavenly - a 2 year old, Boxer/Bulldog mix with Dane, Dogo Argentino and maybe a few other breeds thrown in, who weighs 59 pounds (as of 1/30/25). It is pretty obvious how this girl got her name - she's truly a gift form heaven!

Heavenly is deaf but that doesn’t stop her from being the sweetest and most loving girl we've ever met. Her deafness allows you to sneak a snack (or treat from the jar) without her noticing. Her disability also means no barking when someone rings the doorbell, or howling if there are sirens nearby - it's a win / win! All she wants is a family to love and call her own! She would like her family to only consist of humans, she wants to be the center of attention. She will need someone committed to training her in a way that she can understand since she cannot hear you. She is a blank slate, just waiting on the person that can be her hero. She is a smart girl, and very teachable. She is crate trained, and doing well with house training. Heavenly's new home will need to have a fenced in yard. She is not a fan of cats, so she needs a cat free home.

From her local foster: Our family has been fostering Heavenly for close to three months now and we can’t believe she’s still waiting! She’s the happiest pup ever. She might not be a tiny puppy, but has the heart of one - playful, sweet and snuggly. Heavenly is housebroken, crate trained, puts herself to bed no later than 9 PM every night, and won’t chew apart your things! She loves walks, fetch, and most of all snuggling and playing with her PEOPLE, especially kids! Dog savvy or older kids are best though as she can get very excited and jump. She’s hoping to find the perfect family that will spoil her and treat her like the princess she is.

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
