These pups are turning every moment into a cozy cuddle fest!! The more snuggles, the better!

Meet Smokey Joe Snuggle - a 3 month old, American Bulldog mix, who currently weighs 22 pounds (as of 4/14/25)

Smokey Joe Snuggle is a lot of fun, smart, friendly to everyone! He loves saying hi to all of my neighbors that we walk by and their dogs. It’s really cute because he is cautious when he meets a new dog and slowly inches closer to the dog and usually has to look up and stretch his nose, because he’s still a small puppy, and will boop the other dogs nose and give him a couple of kisses before running away! He’s so sweet lol he’s also quiet. I use a sniff mat for his feedings, to engage his nose. He loves playing fetch or hanging outside, listening to the birds, chewing on a tiny twig! He is Crate trained. He sleeps in his crate all night. Bedtime is at 8:30 PM and he is up at 6:30 AM. Potty trained, and ohhh so snuggly!
I have also had him around my eight year-old nephew and two year-old nephew and he does so good! He is curious, of course, and wants to smell them and will always give them puppy kisses on their hand.

He is very sweet and affectionate, and will just melt in your arms! He loves being held! Or will greet you with his butt wiggles when you come home! He loves running when he is really happy, he gets his Zoomies! And he tires himself out really quickly lol And he is so soft! He feels like velvet! ?

His foster shares: "Smokey Joe Snuggle is a playful and adventurous little boy! He absolutely loves being outside, running around and playing with other dogs and his people. He’s very good at the first half of fetch which means he chases the ball and plays with it... but is still learning to bring the ball back. When he’s tired from playing, he enjoys snuggling with his people or other dogs. If you want the happiest greeting of your life every time you arrive home then Smokey Joe Snuggle is just the boy you need in your life!"

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.

Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
