***DOODLE PUPPY ALERT!*** The HOTTIE litter are a group of gentle giants!
These pups were born in Springfield, MA on Thanksgiving Day 2024. His previous owners were not professional breeders and quickly became overwhelmed as these puppies were growing up - can't blame them! But it's clear that these pups were raised with love and it clearly shows.
Their parents are a 75lb AKC registered Red Golden Retriever (momma) and an AKC registered Black and Tan Standard Poodle who weighed 50lbs (daddy).
Liam Hottie is currently 4 months old, and weighs 42 pounds (as of 4/14/25). From the size of these boys' paws, we believe he will be large to extra large once fully grown! They is extremely affectionate with humans, loves other dogs and think kids who want to rub their ears and pet their bellies are the best thing ever!
Liam is a very happy, fun-loving, playful guy! He has a lot of energy when he's awake and is always looking to play with his humans or fur-siblings. He is most likely the alpha of the group and tries to run the show!
His current fosters share: "We've only had this boy a few days but he is adjusting well! He's been sleeping in his crate at night, and while he doesn't like it initially, he settles down quickly. Given his personality, we think he would love kids and they would love him! We've been working with him on his leash etiquette and will need a family to help continue his training - although he does seem to be getting the hang of it! While he is definitely assertive when it comes to our resident pup, they have been getting along. We'd recommend a fenced in yard for this guy since he's energetic and would love to have freedom to roam! We're learning more about this guy each and every day but we know he's got lots of love to give and will make a wonderful companion for a lucky person / family."
Please note: The puppies are presenting as shed free, but GDRNE can never guarantee.

PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.
Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
