This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally.

Meet Stoic - a 4 month old, Cane Corso / Hound mix, who weighs about 25 pounds (as of 4/14/25). Don't let his name fool you, this guy is a bashful baby who is simply irresistible!

His foster shares: "Stoic is a handsome, lovable and chunky puppy! While his name may be Stoic, he is SO sweet and bashful which is incredibly cute. He has big feet, short legs, and rolls of extra skin - what's not to love!? While he's still a pup, he is big and lazy... if he had grey coloring, you might think he was part hippo.
He's currently living with adult dogs and siblings and he is doing great with all of them. He also loves being around kids, and has done well with cats, too. Overall he's a lovable and friendly guy! We love his personalities and wish we could show more of it in photos. He’s going to grow up to be a great boy and would be the perfect addition to a loving home who is looking for a couch potato!"

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
