Finnick was previously living with a loving family for 8 years, but due to unforeseen circumstances, they are no longer able to care for him. They want the best for this sweet boy and know there is another family out there who can give him all the love and attention he deserves!
Meet Finnick - an 8 year old, Australian Shepherd mix, who weighs 22 pounds (as of 3/24/25). He is a big snuggle bug who wants nothing more than to curl up with his person and spend all day with his humans.
We're hoping to find a loving home for Finnick where his new family will be home often and give him lots of love. He doesn't enjoy being alone for long periods of time. He does love other dogs and while it isn't mandatory he would love the company of another pup. He is doing really well on a leash and knows some commands as well. He is a great balance of loving a walk a day and then coming home and snuggling on the couch. He's make a great companion for someone looking to be past the puppy stage.
He's been around children previously and done well with them! He is house broken, crate trained and walks well on his leash. Finnick is the complete package and can't wait to find a new home to call his own!
All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.
To adopt or learn more about Finnick, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $425] **
PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works.
Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
