Meet Miss Piggy! This girl has been in our shelter for quite some time, and while it’s disheartening for us, it’s a real benefit to you! If we’re honest, she was a bit of a handful when she came into our care over a year ago – and a bit misunderstood. This sensitive soul hadn’t experienced much of the real world, so a lot of everyday things were pretty overwhelming.
That’s no longer the case. During her year-long shelter stay, Miss Piggy started to learn what life is all about at a pace that was comfortable for her. She had slumber parties with staff members, went on field trips to Home Depot multiple times (you always have to make a second trip…), and spent many hours attending staff meetings learning how to be the best administrative assistant she could be – all while bringing HUGE smiles to every person fortunate enough to spend time with her.
Most recently, Miss Piggy has been in a foster home for several weeks, and it’s been so rewarding to see everything she’s learned in the shelter translate to a home, where she’s been an excellent companion. She’s cuddly, settled right into a routine, and is curious and confident when she’s out and about. This gal is really ready for bigger and better things – the shelter isn’t meant to be her home forever.
If you have a quieter home without other pets, are always rooting for the underdog, and would like the cutest morning snuggles – Miss Piggy is the family member for you. Come meet her today and just try to keep a smile off your face – it’s not possible in her company.
