Meet the AUBURN pups! These dogs are bold, beautiful, and will add so much joy to your life. Their hearts are as warm as their last name, and they will be sure to light up your world!
Meet Terra Auburn.
This seven month old girl was rescued here locally from neglect and starvation. And despite this she is the nicest girl. At roughly 40lbs (as of 12/21/24) she is the perfect size to join her furever family on adventures. Terra loves other dogs of all ages and sizes. She is social and enjoys making new friends. Including cats! She currently lives with several cats. At our recent adoption event, Terra was a hit meeting families with and without kids. She has ears for days that are just the cutest. And the best head tilt! Terra is ready to forget her past and is eager to be part of a loving family!
UPDATE from Terra's foster: When I first started fostering Tara She had just been rescued from a very unfortunate circumstance. She was incredibly skinny and was terrible shape. This baby girl has made Leaps, bounds, and pounds lol.
She is extremely sociable and loving both with humans and animals. She gets along with the other dogs in the house. She also gets along with the kittens and sleeps with them almost every night. She’s usually pretty laid-back and chill although she does have some built-up energy, which can be tamed by either playing in the yard or by spending a couple minutes in the crate. She is crate trained as well. She loves car rides, And dog parks , She also loves to swim. She knows basic commands such as sit and has wonderful recall. Her favorite game in the world is fetch although with her it’s more of a catch me and the ball if you can. she would be great as a solo dog or as a sister for an house with an existing dog. She’s extremely food motivated and very happy to learn. She’s a snuggle bug with that keep you warm at night, however, she doesn’t mind sleeping in the crate as well. Plus she knows everybody’s secrets in the house because just look at those ears she can hear all lol. Tara = Tara rific ( Terrific)
Terra's local foster shares "Tara and Ivan, two dogs who were rescued from a horrible condition, have shown incredible resilience and are now thriving. Despite their past, they are both extremely affectionate. These dogs are opening up and enjoying playing like puppies with each passing moment. They love treats and are very food motivated, showing their eagerness to learn. Terra loves other dogs and as you can see is good with cats too! Terra is 100% pee pad trained and hasn't had accidents in the house - but I am working to transitioning her to going to the bathroom outside. I don't have kids, but I have a teenager who helps walk her twice a week who she loves and she has met several kids at the dog park and wanted to play with this. She loves to play fetch and will find any ball you throw. She’s such a great dog, especially considering all she’s been through. You would never know the background she had unless somebody told you. She’s beyond affectionate and beyond food and motivated too. She is going to make a wonderful family dog!"
All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.

The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application.
