Meet Diesel - a 1 yr old, Ibizan Hound / Rat Terrier mix, who weighs 55 pounds (as of 1/30/25). Deisel was surrendered to us by his previous owner who loved him very much, but was not ready for the responsibility that came with owning (and loving) a dog! We know there is another loving family out there who will be able to give this guy everything he needs, and more!

UPDATE from his Northern foster mom: Diesel is so very sweet and is such an amazing well mannered dog. He loves his people, he can be dead asleep next to you but if you get up to go to the bathroom, he’ll follow you and lay down at the door. I have a feeling that he’s also doing it to protect you, he reminds me a lot of a shepherd. If I had to guess I would say he’s got some Dutch shepherd in him. He’s only had one accident since we got him and has gone to the door since to go to the bathroom. He does not like the crate but will work on rewards with him to make it easier for his future family. He’s not chewed on anything and slept all night in bed with me so I don’t even think he’ll need to be crated for much longer. He hasn't had any accidents in his foster home. Diesel would be best as your one and only in a cat and dog free home. This guy wants all the human attention to himself

Diesel is amazing, he is such a sweetheart and loves his people. He warms right up to humans and he is gentle around kids as well. He does good on walks and is very calm and well mannered. Diesel would be a great fit for a family that was home a lot and able to hangout and chill with him (he loves to just hang out on the couch with you) He’s playful and gentle and would make a wonderful companion.

All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be.
